The Village of Dannemora Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for creating and maintaining recreational opportunities for residents and visitors of the village. Staff from Parks and Recreation work to ensure that the village's parks, facilities, and programs are safe, accessible, and promote health and wellness. They are responsible for a variety of tasks, including maintaining parks and facilities, coordinating recreational programs and events. The Dannemora Parks and Recreation Department sponsors t-ball, baseball, and softball programs during the summer at our local parks. In the fall, they offer soccer and provide an Annual Halloween Party for various age groups. During the winter months, basketball programs are offered and the ice rink is open for skating and hockey.​

Ice Rink Update

The Village of Dannemora Parks and Rec Department has been hard at work preparing the ice rink for the season, dedicating countless cold and long hours to get it ready. We're excited to announce that OPENING DAY is finally here! The ice rink will officially open Saturday, 2/8/2025, from 10am to 3pm. Please be aware that there will be no bathroom facilities available tomorrow, so plan accordingly. Regular hours will be announced soon—stay tuned for updates!

Organized Sports Information​​
Village of Dannemora Parks & Recreation Program Offerings:
Pickleball
Fridays 4pm-6pm
Weekday mornings Pickleball Rocks group plays 9am-11am
Open to the public they must bring their own balls & paddles. The net is already available in the gym.
Country Line Dancing
We will be offering Country Line Dancing Classes with Nancy Dow starting Monday May 6th, 2024 on Monday Nights 6pm-8pm in the gym. It is $5 per class and the money raised will be donated to the Village Beautification Committee.​

Cornhole
Open to public - no charge to participate
Equipment available at the Community Center
Wednesdays in the gymnasium during the winter months (November - April)
6:00-8:30pm (bring your own or call to get one)​

Soccer
Sign-up May through July.
